Well LPD faithful, we have two more LPD teams playing tonight at Castlewood, GC and Norton. The girls swept last night, so come out and support the boys tonight. Reading on the Cumberland Dist. forum, their not giving GC or Norton much of a chance, so go out and prove them wrong. Norton fans come early and yell for the Devils and we'll stay and yell for you......
It seems to be about half and half on the Cumberland board to me.. Some are saying RC will pull off the upset but some are saying that GC will win by 20 points.. I personally think RC could come out with the win but it will be tough. If GC can contain Hood pretty good, I think they will win. But RC plays very good defense too. It will be intense, that's for sure.
Looks like it might be another contest decided by the men in stripes.

Adam Hood is without a doubt the best player in this region.
He can play some ball. Gate City just wore RC down.
You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.
I went and watched the game at Castlewood tonight as well. Adam Hood is THE best player in all of Southwest Virginia. I thought there were a couple or three times that Rye Cove could have folded and wilted some... but Adam Hood attacked the heart of the GC defense over and over again. And some of the shots he pulled out were things like I had seen Redick do in the ACC Tournament last year. I mean hitting shots in stride just pulling up from 25 and nailing them and then letting the defender know it on the way back.
Give Rye Cove credit... they did not back down at all tonight. The fans from that area of the county should be extremely proud of what this team has accomplished this year.
